Vice President of Innovation Ecosystem-Building, BioSTL
Justin Raymundo serves as the Vice President of Innovation Ecosystem-Building where they lead the development and implementation of a bold vision for the St. Louis innovation ecosystem. In this role, Justin works alongside the BioSTL Coalition, a broad civic partnership of 50+ industry, academic, philanthropic, and government leaders in the region, to foster and oversee cross-sector partnerships and initiatives to grow and sustain the innovation ecosystem and drive equitable economic impact. Through their work with the BioSTL Coalition, Justin designed and provides executive oversight to the regional bioscience talent strategy in the St. Louis metro including healthcare, life sciences, and agtech. Further, Justin leads inclusive, placed-based innovation efforts that ensure benefits of the innovation economy are shared equitably.
Justin brings a deep history of leading multi-stakeholder initiatives and partnerships for inclusive and equitable impact through innovation. Previously, they managed signature sustainable development partnerships and corporate responsibility initiatives for the legacy company, Monsanto. Justin also oversaw programs, community outreach, and communications during their time at Diversity Awareness Partnership, a St. Louis diversity and inclusion awareness non-profit. Additionally, Justin has experience in leading and scaling startup firms having most recently served as the Head of Marketing for Amanda Blu & Co, a global specialty consumer goods manufacturer, before joining BioSTL.
In addition to their formal role at BioSTL, Justin advances strong economic and workforce development systems as the Chair of the Workforce Development Board of the City of St. Louis and an education and workforce development fellow of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation.
