Announcing the Dr. Patty Hagen STEM Scholarship Fund

Honoring her Legacy by Growing Diversity in St. Louis Innovation Pathways

After the sudden passing of Dr. Patty Hagen, the Founding Executive Director of T-REX, the TechSTL community decided to dedicate their STEM Scholarship Fund to honor the legacy of Patty’s leadership to the St. Louis tech community. We are now accepting donations in her name to support STEM education across the bistate.

The STEM Scholarship Fund is hosted by the St. Louis Community Foundation and is committed to catalyzing the innovation pipeline of the St. Louis Metro. The Dr. Patty Hagen STEM Scholarship Fund will provide postsecondary scholarships to increase accessibility to computer science, data analytics, design, and IT business operations degree programs and certificates for diverse communities of the Metro. Eligible students will live in the 15-county St. Louis MSA and demonstrate unmet financial need at the postsecondary school they attend. Scholarships will be awarded to students who are members of historically excluded communities in the tech fields (women, BIPOC, foreign born, LGBTQIA, rural, and disabled). Each recipient will enroll full-time in an accredited, nonprofit, technical/trade school, two-year college, or four-year college/university in the Greater St. Louis Metro.
