In which sector is your company most closely aligned?
Cloud, Cybersecurity & Big Data
What does your company do?
We analyze, design, and deliver customized people, processes, technology, data, and cybersecurity solutions to solve your most complex business challenges.
How long has your company had a presence in St. Louis?
12 years
What makes the St. Louis region an ideal home for your company/organization? Why do you choose to operate your business here?
St Louis is a high performing entrepreneurial city, ready to lead in the Tech industry on cybersecurity, cloud, and data innovations, and located in the Midwest along the Mississippi River. It is also the closest city to Scott Air Force Base, the United States largest supply chain command for the entire military, otherwise known as the United States Transportation Command (TRANSCOM). USTRANSCOM is the global leader in capability enablement to protect and sustain the Joint Forces, ensuring support of national objectives.
What has been the most valuable resource (person, tool, organization) for helping your company grow? How did you find it? How do you utilize it?
Books. I am an avid reader. I try not to “implement the next big program” in the books I read, but to glean helpful information from each, synthesize that information, and apply it to our next big challenge.
What advice would you give new tech companies that are trying to navigate the current market?
To win in today’s market, you must win the talent war; to win the talent war, you must create an authentic culture that attracts the right people.
What new practice or policy did you put into place over the pandemic that has positively impacted your company?
Like everyone else, we re-evaluated our requirements for in-person work; we improved our PTO policies and overall became more flexible during the Great Resignation. We also doubled down on making the workplace an attractive option as we strongly believe that in-person teamwork is superior to remote options.
Tell us about the next big thing in your technology sector. How will this affect your business?
Dr. Scott Galloway of NYU predicts that the Tech of the Year 2023 will be AI, and we agree. We have some exciting AI R&D projects that we will be unveiling to existing clients early in the year.
What is the accomplishment you are most proud to share from 2022?
We developed an AWS cloud-based data visibility platform for our client in Long Beach, CA—the second-largest port in the country. They loved it, rallied their peers, and we are now transitioning that platform into the nation’s Supply Chain Information Highway. We hosted a port summit in St. Louis with several other of the nation’s largest ports and mapped out the 2023 roadmap to make it happen.
What exciting development is on the horizon for your company in 2023?
We are on the verge of graduating from our small business status for our core work in the federal government, which we will do at the end of 2023 or 2024. We are perfecting our internal systems to ensure we graduate not with a whimper, but with a bang. It’s going to be an exciting year or two for us.
